Sometimes unrequited love can drive people to extreme measures.
A German woman whose boyfriend had left her paid a witch $1,275 for a spell that would bring him back.
After performing the prescribed ritual for months, the boyfriend had not returned and the spurned woman took the witch to court where a judge ordered the witch to refund the money the woman had paid for a spell.

hmm I would imagine if love potions really worked they would be more expensive and we would have a lot of miserable people out there wishing they hadn’t used to potion on a person after they got them.
